Stalin’s Daughter Barely Escaped Rape by Lavrentiy Beria

Written by Ryan Prost

Lavrentiy Beria was chief of the Soviet Union secret police, NKVD from August 1938.

Beria had an important role as Stalin’s head of secret police and later Minister of Internal Affairs.

His role was that of detective and police. All matters of the state were under his jurisdiction.

This unabated power structure and Beria having won favor with Stalin for his WW2 performance landed him a near invincibility.

Women of the Soviet Union would soon regret it.

Beria seemed to have a critical role in establishing the leadership of North Korea. He met with future communist party leader Kim Ill-Sung.

You could say Beria designed the communist regime and its players that led to the ongoing North Korean dictatorship of today.

Not only did he influence North Korea but Beria also helped the Mao Zedong regime rise to power by providing weapons and land to them during the Chinese Civil War.

He was given the highest Soviet military award Marshal of the Soviet Union. A rank that Joseph Stalin had been given after the German defeat of the Battle of Stalingrad -link me

Beria was the orchestrator and administrator of the Gulag labor camps for Soviet dissidents.

One of his first acts as head of the secret police was to carry out the Katyn Massacre a mass execution of Polish labor camp prisoners.

It is for this reason that some Russian women would trade sex with Beria in order to win favor for someone’s release from the Gulag.

He political enemies were undoubtedly aware of his sexual predatory behavior and used it to indict him on charges of rape then treason.

This was only natural Beria had no boundaries when it came to choosing victims for his sexual predation.

He became emboldened by the fact that he was able to get away with it. Some of his victims were told their screams did not matter.

It was a known fact that Beria soundproofed his office for this reason.

Beria’s predatory advances were not just limited to the easy targets like the widows of executed of enemies of the state.

One has to wonder if he arranged deaths in order to get access to certain wives.

Frequently he became interested in wives and relatives of even other Marshals even Stalin.

The known strategy was to follow women in his armored car and identify his targets.

Hours or days later these women would receive a phone call or an armed escort to transport them for interrogation at Beria’s office.

It is believed that even Stalin was not exempt from Beria’s sexual advances.

One evening when left alone in one of Stalin’s homes Beria was entertaining Stalin’s daughter Svetlana.

The next moment a phone call to the address came with a swift and clear warning.

It was Marshal Stalin talking to Svetlana his daughter, “get out of the house immediately!”.

It’s probably safe to say but not immediately known if Stalin when issuing his warning knew Beria had syphilis.

Why did Stalin allow Beria to abuse his power for the sake of sex with unsuspecting women?

To Stalin Beria was a party man by that meaning a loyal party official. It also seems that Stalin relied heavily on his input over matters of the state.

This was evidenced by Stalin’s approval of the Katyn Massacre based on Beria’s suggestion.

December 23, 1953 Beria was shot dead by a rival faction within the Communist Party in a grand power grab
